Neither has a direct app, yet.
The cheapest way for History is through FrndlyTV.
For ESPN, just wait a few months. There is a standalone subscription coming soon, but it will probably be $20-$30/month. No info on whether there will be a DVR feature.
As always, you are best off subscribing to any service DIRECTLY at the services WEB SITE. Signing up through a 3rd party can make billing issues a pain to fix. Signing up through an app on a phone or tablet may be more expensive (Apple Tax).
