In addition to no screen saver, you cannot power down the tv because the streaming stops after a few minutes, and there is no way to restart it without powering up the tv. This is not a limitation of the roku because other channels can continue streaming when the tv is powered down (e.g. Spotify). So the way things are it is impossible to stream siriusxm over the roku channel without potential screen damage. They need to either add a screen saver or allow the stream to continue (or be restarted) with the tv powered down.
Sent message to SiriusXM about the lack of screen saver and the inability to stream with TV powered off. They actually called me and I explained that lacking both of these options can result in screen damage. Later in the day they called back and left a message that their technical people say that Roku does not allow screensaver as of Dec 2022 and so from their view the problem was due to Roku. But they failed to answer why SiriusXM does not allow streaming with TV powered off, like for example Spotify does. Clearly that is not a limitation of Roku.

Danny- FamilyGuyRI3 years agoNewbieRoku needs to allow the Screen Saver (AMBIENT MODE) to play While also listening to an audio related app like Sirius, Pandora or a digital channel like Roku 1980's music etc! - mgw0332 years agoNewbiefyi... the SiriusXM app on a LG OLED plays all day long using the LG fireworks screensaver so it should be possible.

- rayoski3 years agoNewbiewithout a screensaver the app is essentially useless - it’s ridiculous that sxm and roku just point the finger at each other instead of fixing the problem - Anonymous3 years agoHi rayoski Welcome to the Roku Community! If you're having trouble turning on a screensaver in the updated SiriusXM app on your Roku device, it's possible that the screensaver feature has been removed or relocated within the app. Here are some things you can try to see if you can activate a screensaver: - Check the SiriusXM app settings: Open the SiriusXM app on your Roku device and look for settings or options menu. Within this menu, see if there is an option to turn on a screensaver or to change the app's display settings.
- Check your Roku device settings: You can also check your Roku device settings to see if there are any screensaver settings that may apply to the SiriusXM app. Go to Settings > Screensaver on your Roku device to see if there are any applicable options.
- Contact SiriusXM support: If you've tried the above steps and are still unable to activate a screensaver in the SiriusXM app on your Roku device, you can contact SiriusXM support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional guidance on how to access the screensaver feature or whether it has been removed entirely from the app.
 We hope it helps
 Warm regards.
