Roku tv wont stop scrolling

Everytime I press a button on my remote it wont stop doing that action even after factory restarting the tv and getting a new remote

    Try taking the batteries out of your old remote (and leaving them out) and see if your new remote now works with the TV.  (also try unplugging TV for a few minutes).

    If so, try cleaning the buttons and wiggling them on the old remote and then put new batteries in.
