ROKU suddenly too big for tv screen

As of today the Roku display is too large for my tv screen.  Everything was fine last evening.  Now I can't read what's on the home menu properly and when I hit settings, that menu gets cut off on the left.  The channels are suffering from this, as well, as the  captions and subs are cut off at the bottom.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

In other words, everything is zoomed in to the point where navigation of Roku is nearly impossible.  Please help!

Neither of you mentioned your model #s or firmware versions:  Settings/System/About

        1) Connecting with composite (RCA):   Try restarting your Roku:  Settings/System/System restart/Restart  (or pull the power cable out for at least 30 seconds)

        2) Connecting via HDMI:  Restart your Roku & check for a Zoom button on your TV's remote and press it (until the picture fits), or otherwise enable "Just Scan" in your HDMI input settings.

I used a button on my tv remote that said "aspect" on it, and it interchanged through the settings "cinema","normal""wide","zoom" etc.

I chose normal and it fixed.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  I spent 2 hours on this suddenly too big problem, and when I found Aspect on my TV remote and switched from "wide" to "normal," the problem was fixed.

  • I realize this is an old post, but answering in case someone comes across this thread like I did. Go to Settings. Select Power, then System Restart. This works when my Hisense Roku tv is zoomed in.

Nope didn't work sent back the roku and fixed.   It was a equipment issue thanks

  • Suddenly my channel choices were so huge they went off the edges of the screen. I unplugged the Roku box at the back of the box. Waited 15 seconds, plugged it back in, and it fixed itself. This has nothing to do with the TV, or zoom, or anything else. This is a Roku box issue.... period.

I am experiencing that on one of my tvs. Nothing had helped!

I did the * button and the writing on the menu on the left is cut off to the point I can’t read it. I also went into settings and tried changing the screen size and nothing helped. I unplugged the unit and let it sit for 5 minutes and still no change.

Very frustrating! I can’t get it to back to the guide section on my Philo app so I can choose why to watch. All apps are displaying larger than ever before.

Thanks, I will give that a try. I was hesitant to do it that but it is probably the solution needed.
