Roku stuck on loading screen and the player won't reset

I have a Express 3906X on my Vizio TV, ran an errand and can back to the logo screen, The Software update fails, the Factory reset doesn't work and its stuck in Recovery mode. Bought in May 2024.

    We highly recommend trying the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Restart your Roku device by unplugging it from the power source for 10 seconds.
    2. Try switching HDMI ports and input.
    3. As a last resort, try a factory reset. How to system restart or factory reset your Roku streaming device

    If the issue persists, please keep us posted, and we'll continue assisting you from there.

      I have followed all the actions in the post above and still no luck. I know have this issue on 2 Roku express 4k's.

      The freezing happens all the time, every couple hrs. I have done a factory reset by the remote and using the reset button. The batteries are new in the remote as well, this is a very frustrating issue. The fix suggested by support to unplug the tv only helps for a little bit and then it happens again. Getting to hate this platform and tv, really wish I hadn’t bought Roku… help

        This started for me about 3 weeks ago. Everyday, I have to remove power for the Roku Ultra.  My guess,  some update that Roku has pushed has some compatibility problem.

        @Roku Support -  If a factory reset does not work  what  option do we have?  Can Roku, replace our units with  that does not have this problem?

        Ehtartaw, unplug the power briefly and plug it back in.  If that doesn't fix it, give more details about what's happening.

  • Hi I Am having the same issue as well, all the suggested solutions have not worked. I wonder if Roku will replace our devices

      • Is this issue occurring on all channels, or is it limited to a specific channel?
      • Are there any error messages on the screen when trying to stream on your Roku?
      • What troubleshooting steps you have tried so far?
      • Did the issue happen prior to a recent software update or after?
      • A photo or short video of the exact behavior of the problem.

        Roku stuck on purple start up screen bouncing letter have tried everything suggested even factory reset this happed right after an update please help
