Roku Streaming Stick remote and Amazon Prime Video no longer works

Issue playing Prime Video with Roku (streaming with HD/4K/HDR )  my other streaming channels work fine but whenever I get to Prime and I’m trying to pick a movie the tv goes black and it hiccups like that until I make a selection, once a selection is made it plays the video with no issues.  

I tried all the different steps to clearing the cache, removing the app, etc. everything that’s on the forum, so I tried using my old TV remote and the Amazon Prime Video works just fine.  So it must be the Roku streaming stick? The streaming stick was purchased in 2021.
