Roku recently started to over heat

Roku recently started to over heat. I followed the instruction as per the website but the over heating problem still persist. What would be the solution to address this problem?

    What Roku model device are you using? 

    It's fairly normal for your device to get warm during use, but if you are seeing a message on screen mentioning overheating, there are a few things you can do to help.

    For more information visit our Support page here: What should I do if the red light is on or I see a “Your device is overheating” warning?
    If you are still experiencing an issue, please send me a PM (private message) with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number of the Roku device from Settings>System>About along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.

hi, my smart tv came with roku, and for the past two week a red warning comes on the tv, that it's over heating. what can I do?

We're sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing.

In addition to what renojim has said, please be advised that each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS. We'd recommend reaching out to the TV manufacturer to report the issue and get help.

    My roku devise won't stop over heating. Will I need to buy a new one?

    Nothing you suggest has worked

      Roku devices tend to go warm since it's always plugged in. We would recommend taking a look at our Support page for more information regarding this issue: What to do if the red light is on or you see a “Your device is overheating” message

      If this problem is not resolved, please let us know, along with any additional information you may have that would be useful for our team to investigate. Please include the serial number of your Roku device so that we can assist you further.

        I have had device for over a year in the same spot and it just started happening today

         

        I did all your support recommendations and still happens
