Roku pls. help; Apple TV won't load

This thread apparently ended over a year ago.  Now Roku is offering a 30-day free trial of AppleTV+.  This prompts 2 questions:

1) Has the problem discussed in this thread been solved?

2) Is there any practical difference between Roku's 30-day trial and Apple's 7-day trial (besides the obvious)?

      The 30-day offer has been showing on my Roku TV for several days.  It is supposed to end today.

      AppleTV's 7-day trial is on their website.
