Roku Onn TV static issues

My Roku TV...the sound gets a static noise to it causing the programs I am watching to sound like it's underwater. 

I am not using a HDMI cord and this happens across different channels. 

Also in the middle of watching a program regardless of what channel...my tv will switch to the home screen without warning. The tv is only a little over two years old.
