Roku Live TV Newsmax channel freezes

First off, the TV (Samsung) and Roku Ultra 4800x have up-to-date firmware loaded.

Using the Roku Live TV Icon tab on the home page, the Newsmax channel (190 on my tv channel list) will usually freeze during the commercial break musical interlude after about 2.5 minutes of their 4-minute intermission. To unfreeze the channel you have to channel up or down and go back to Newsmax. When using the Newsmax Icon tab on the home page it does not do this because they play commercials. Roku support will not address this issue for me. No other channel that plays music during commercial breaks does this freeze up.

    Actually, I think this may be more a Newsmax issue.  It occurs on both the Roku Channel and Rumble, but I have not seen this behavior on Plex and Pluto while watching Newsmax.  I had emailed Newsmax a few weeks ago and they have been pretty good about addressing issues in the past, but did not receive a response this time. (not even confirmation email this time.)

    When watching on the Roku Channel and I notice it gets "stuck", I just press the channel up or down button on remote, and then go back to the channel (190), and it will start to play normally again.  For long periods of viewing, maybe try watching it on Plex or Pluto.

    Every time Roku interrupts a feed I have paid for, I will now unplug all my Televisions and router for 4 hours. Let see if we can get a million people to do the same?

      Does the issue only occur on specific content within The Roku Channel? Also, if you haven't tried yet, you can remove the affected channel and then reinstall it. To ensure the process is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.

        Only during the Newsmax commercial break musical interlude. I have tried to remove the Live TV Roku app and reinstall it, hard reset, etc. to no avail.
