Same exact thing going on here. All 3 rokus. Watching MSNBC via NBC app, linked in with hulu live. Top of the hour/show segue is a guaranteed dump. Sometimes dumped right after I turn the channel back on again. Sometimes randomly. But I can count on X:58 to X:03 to dump me like clockwork. Funny how it never crashes during commercials. 😕
Two expresses and a 3 are all getting the same dumps.. Heres one of the express:

I have.. unlinked hulu, I have soft reboot, then hard reboot each one. I have removed ALL nbc channels, did soft reboots, then hard reboots. Reinstalled NBC, relink. And still I keep getting the menu.
Agree with other poster, that it started when they removed the continue watching band of shows on the NBC home page. Now it's 11 or more clicks to get back to MSNBC each time. We're talking 100 clicks a day just to watch a tv channel. I don't think it did this before the channel "update."

I am having the same problem as everyone else regarding Roku going back to the home screen. Mine however, is a bit different, at the top of every hour that is when mine resets back to the home screen. I usually watch MSNBC and it reverts back to the home screen at the top of every hour. I can bring the channel up at 5 minutes after any hour and it will be good until the top of the next hour and then it goes back to the home screen. This problem has been going on now for about 3 weeks. I have tried everything, unplug the power cord for 30 seconds (at least), unlinked my tv provider, deleted the NBC channel and then brought it back, nothing makes a difference.
For what it's worth, I do find it odd that mine disconnects at the top of the hour, perhaps there is some type of programming error that has been accidentally put into the system.
When you get a fix please let us know, because as you can imagine going through the process of bringing that channel back every hour.
Regards,
Danny

I am having the same problem. App shuts down and goes back to home screen at the top of every hour. EVERY HOUR. On both Roku devices. Doesn't happen on iPad app or Vizio Smart TV app.

My problem is the exact same as yours. Top of every hour. On both Roku devices but not other non-Roku NBC apps.

All that info has been previously posted. Scroll up please. This is over a month old now and we aren't getting any help at all.
This started when NBC did their an update that removed the "continue watching" bar from below the banner ad/premier show thing at the top. Continue watching bar is now at the bottom and now no longer includes live feeds.
Watching MSNBC thru NBC app, logged in through Hulu Live. Top of every hour, when hosts say welcome, poof, Home page. Happens on all 3 rokus - 2 express and an old 3. It doesn't matter if I started the feed through Live or Network option. Here's my last tracker info..

Hi Community users,
Thanks for posting regarding your device returning to the Home screen when watching MSNBC.
In order for us to further investigate the issue, can you pleas provide the following information:
- what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
- tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times and provide us with this ID)
Once we have this information, we will be able to pass it along to the appropriate Roku team to investigate further.
Thanks,

Hi Danny,
I to am having a similar issue. My TV will turn off and back on again while watching cable TV or using any app. I have done everything imaginable to fix the problem and it still persist. I have pushed the home button and back button 5 times each, and this is the code I got...ID KT-281-748.
Thank you, Christina
