Roku express popping sound and static

Recently our Roku express is malfunctioning. We use this in our gym to stream or to cast a screen from a peloton to our tv. A Randi’s loud pop or snap is followed by static. Video continues after.

    What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far? If you haven't tried any troubleshooting steps, try performing a System Restart by going to Settings > System > Power (if you don't see the Power Submenu, skip to System Restart) to see if it improves your current situation.
