Roku defective Utlra 2022 model

I'm trying to watch on crunchyroll, I had to reset it and in support they recommend getting high quality HDMI cable, should I do that or do a different route.

You are not telling us what the actual problem is. Once we know what the issue is, then someone can make a suggestion.

Thanks for specifying the concern, OtakuGirl85.

May we know when you first observed the issue? Can you provide us with a video clip of the issue for us to better visualize this concern? Was the issue persistent on a particular show on your device? Would hooking the Roku Ultra to a different TV fix the issue?

Please keep us informed on what you find out.

        Regards,
        Janadee

  • Hey, I have been having issues with some anime shows on Crunchyroll. I'm on the Roku Ultra 2018. Maybe we have the same issue.

Are you experiencing freezing and stuttering on certain frames on certain shows? Shows like Buddy Complex, Murder Princess, Sacred Blacksmith, or Star Blazers Battleship Yamato? Are you using Comcast Xfinity for your home internet?

Are you connected by ethernet cable or by wireless? Have you tried watching on a different network connection like mobile hotspot or another household?

I switch to the Utra 2022 model but my TV is too old to rely on it.

Unless your TV doesn't have HDMI inputs (which would make it really, really old) it should work fine with an Ultra. Even if your TV isn't 4K, the Ultra would still be fine on an HD set.
