Roku channel stuck on commercials

I've always had some disruption on the new Roku

but lately Paramount , Prime , and Roku kick

me off when a commercial brake is about to start.

It's gotten so bad the it can take 10 time to try

and get back into the program . Frankly it's

software and a "Roku software" problem and

THEY should fix it .

    Hi ProvidencePoet,

    Welcome to the Roku Community.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand that you're experiencing interruptions when streaming content on Paramount, Prime, and Roku channels, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Have you tried restarting your Roku device to see if it helps? We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.

If this doesn't help, could you let us know what other troubleshooting steps have you taken so far to try to resolve the issue? Could you tell us how are you powering your Roku device? Is it connected to the USB port of the TV or to a wall outlet?

    Keep us posted.

    Regards,
    Nimfa

I've done restart , update , also turned off

and restarted all devices connected .

Computer , wireless , TV and roku then

did update and restart , nothing has helped

in fact it is getting worse by the week . I'm

70 years old on limited income of 970 a month

with a house payment so I can't just go out

and buy a "new device" everytime something

like this happens and tech companies are

notorious for this and no money to bring in

a tech person  to "'fix it"". Software should
not be  the customers problem when it can be

remotely updated by the company .

        Thanks for following up.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

What Roku model device do you have? May we kindly ask how you are currently powering your Roku device? Is it connected to a wall outlet or the USB port of your TV? There are instances where the power supplied through the USB port of the TV may not be enough to properly power the device. Despite the Roku appearing to be functional, operating with inadequate power can cause instability, unexpected crashes, and other irregularities.

Using the included power cord and power adapter, we suggest plugging your Roku into a working power outlet in the wall. Powering it through a power outlet in the wall has the additional advantage that your Roku player will not need to power up every time you turn on your TV. This means your Roku player will be up and running faster than it would be connected to a TV.

Does this help the issue you are seeing? Let us know.
