Roku channel not returning to correct place following ads

While streaming content on the Roku channel my program is interrupted for an ad - not a problem, I am expecting that. However, when the ad completes I program is returned to a point several minutes prior to where it was interrupted. I have to fast-forward to where I left off - sometimes more than once. Occasionally the channel just crashes and I get returned to the main Roku menu page. Needless to say, this is pretty annoying.
