In order to narrow down the cause of the issue, kindly provide us with additional details such as follows:
- What specific error messages are being prompted?
- Are all of the content available on The Roku Channel affected by this? If not, what specific content are you having this issue with?
- Were you able to access any content inside The Roku Channel at all?
In the meantime, we appreciate you for trying to troubleshoot this app. We'll be looking forward to your update.

I typed out a lengthy response last week, came back to check it and it's not here. Because of that, I just typed up another response, hit post, and was redirected... while my response was completely wiped away. Not doing it again.
- On Firestick, some programs work and some don't.
- "Castle" doesn't work, and gives this message every time:
- Playback Error
- Unfortunately, we were unable to play this content. Please try again later.
- Castle works on Android app.
- Android app cannot find Firestick despite being on same wi-fi network.
You can mark this post solved though, because — given two years of posts with nearly identical issues with absolutely no solutions or fixes provided, I've determined the easiest way to deal with the problem is to just delete the Roku Channel and find an alternate method to watch.
