Roku apps not working connected to mobile hotspot

my roku has "excellent wifi and internet connection" so the green checks pop up for both. however, once I go to my apps (netflix/hbo, etc) they wont load and says "error connecting to internet". 

I use my hotspot from my iPhone, and have for years with no problems.. If my fiancé connects there hotspot, it works just fine. We have the same phone. I’ve reset the connection on the roku, restarted the roku and phone, changed my password, updated my phone, checked for any roku app updates, it’s still not working.

    Hi Alebun78,

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

    May we know which of your Roku devices has this issue? Besides your mobile hotspot, is there any network we could connect the device to? If the issue is persistent on multiple apps on your Roku, it could most likely be an issue with the network source itself. Also, are there any error codes you've been seeing on the screen?
