Roku app data being restored on App reinstall

    I suspect what you need to do is go into the app and find a way to sign/log out.  Then sign/log back in to re-establish your account.   If the channels are really tied together you may be able to do this on just one instead of all of them.

I don't know if there are multiple BBC channels/apps, but if there are you probably have to remove all of them, reboot, and add them back to clear the saved data.  You can also try the "clear the cache" routine - Press Home 5 times, Up once, Rewind twice, and Fast Forward twice.  If you do it properly your Roku device will restart on its own after several seconds.

    Yes, BBC Iplayer and BBC Sounds definitely share data - eg when you sign onto BBC Iplayer  the account appears in the BBC Sounds app too - which is why I did remove both apps and reinstalled it as renojim suggested.

    The clear cache makes no difference either - as parameters are still retained.

    I have tried the reinstall procedure on another stand alone app (My5).

    On first accessing the app after removal, turn off for 5 mins, reinstall I got the signon screen but shortly afterwards the app was signed on automatically with the account restored. 

    It seems something is restoring the settings for the app shortly after install - I presume the Roku operating system.  I am running 11.5.0 build 4312-CR on Roku Express 4K 3940EU. I have two of these devices running on the same Roku account.

    If Roku now restores data on reinstall - how can you clear the data for an app ?
