ethics, since you've changed the screensaver, we can assume the most common cause of unwanted apps being added (apps advertised in screensavers) isn't the cause. The other common cause is a forgotten Roku device that's still linked to the same Roku account. Log into your account at https://my.roku.com using the email address that's displayed under Settings->System->About and check the linked devices. If there's any you don't recognize, remove them.
So Roku heard me and this was their reply...
The Roku channels being added automatically has ceased and they have increased the number of ad's from 2 or 3 to 20. The response is vindictive and one that has turned me off. My solution was to just remove their channels permanently. I highly recommend that Roku re-evaluate their operating and ethical policies.
