Roku 3800X 3800RW & Tablo 4th Gen Screen Resolution

UPDATE:
Tablo 4th Gen 2 Tuner

Latest Tablo App for Roku (0.8.401)

NOW running on UPDATED Roku OS (12.5.5)

STILL does NOT resolve the 480 & 720 resolution viewing issues on my Roku 3800X 3800RW sticks.

480 & 720 resolution channels are still appearing in small box in upper left with remainder of screen showing bright green.

Hoping for Tablo Roku app update to address this issue soon!!!

It is highly appreciated that you have reached out for support. 
We will coordinate this with the appropriate Roku team for further review and determine the root cause of this issue that you are currently experiencing on your Roku player. With this being said, kindly provide us with the following details below:

  • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
  • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)

We'll be anticipating your response as we are more than eager to find you the best resolution possible.

    RokuCarly I am having the same issue.
    See other replies in this thread for more details, as I have run some additional troubleshooting tests.
    I recently bought a Roku TV and it works fine.

    Here is the info on the 2 of 3 sticks I own both are the same.
    Model - 3800X
    Software version 13.0.0 build 24056-55

    has anyone tested the issue with newer Roku Streaming Sticks? e.g. the Streaming Stick 4k (3820R2)

    I’m running a 3820R2 connected to Yamaha sound bar w/passthrough to 13yr old Samsung TV. 

    The 3820R2 was purchased new in early 2024 just to overcome this issue. This device displays 480 & 720 video in full screen on the setup mentioned above.

    Also, my 3820R2 is successfully running Tablo’s latest Roku app & Roku OS 14.

    I’ve just about given hope that Roku and/or Tablo will EVER resolve this problem on the older Roku sticks 😞
