Removing actually good movies for no reason

First off, my favorite movie is Coraline. Coming from a family that doesn't have much, I was extremely happy to find I could stream Coraline on Roku for free. That is, until they removed it. Like I would do just about anything to get Coraline back on this platform. Genuinely begging them to add it back.

  • Justwatch says this movie is available on Amazon video, and AppleTV, Fandango at home etc.  However, if it's that important, you probably want to get in on Blu-Ray so you are independent of whatever streaming business deals happen to be in effect at any given time.

A lot of times that is due to licensing.  Shows and movies are licensed for a period of time and when they expire, they are removed, unless the license is renewed.  Or another service may license to use the show or movie, and it will go to another streaming channel or service.

    Welcome!

In some cases, streaming services may merge, leading to the combination of apps, or providers might decide to remove their apps from our platform.

For more information, please review our Developer Terms and Agreements or contact the app developer directly. You can also visit our Roku Channel Store to check the availability of channels. Additionally, please refer to our support article: "Why is an app no longer available on my Roku streaming device?"

We hope you find this information helpful.

    Cheers,
