randomly go to the home page by itself in the middle of the night

Thanks for raising your concern, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. 

May we first know what Roku streaming device you are experiencing this issue with? In addition, does it usually happen when you open a specific app or channel? Kindly specify.

Furthermore, many users have proved that a simple system reboot resolves this issue. We highly recommend performing it as well. Simply navigate to your Home screen. Select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart. Other users have proved this troubleshooting method to be a workaround.

Two things to try that might help:

Settings > Network > Bandwidth saver -- disable this.
Note that some individual channels may have a similar feature.

If your Roku has a "Settings > System > Power > Auto power savings > After 20 minutes of no interaction" setting, try disabling it.
