Random High Pitched Noise Then Sudden Sound Loss

This problem has been happening to me as well on different Roku plug and play devices. It's been ongoing for over a year now. It is definitely the Roku devices and not the TVs. Restart does not fix the problem. It's a really awful high pitched scratching, static noise over streaming audio on all apps.
