plex app constantly exits to home screen

One of my streaming stick+ exhibits the issue - another doesn't. ???

    Thanks for posting regarding the issue you've encountered with the Plex app.

    Have you tried reaching out to the channel provider's support and inquiring further about this issue for a workaround? It seems like this issue is rooted in their channel build and design since channels on Roku are maintained by their respective providers. You can reach out for support with the channel provider at Plex Support.

    Please let us know what you find out.

We appreciate you letting us know about this.

We would be happy to look further into this issue, but we need more details. Please provide us with the following information:

  1. Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).
  2. Does this issue occur on the Plex channel only? If so, what version or build is it? (This can be found by selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button.)
  3. Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID).

Once we have this information, we will be able to investigate further.

It looks like the Plex team just rolled out a workaround.  The release notes for the latest preview version of their Roku app now says: "Video: disable direct streaming 1080 MPEG2 due to memory limitation."

So I guess 12.5.0 has some issues and they're probably already working with you guys (Roku) to get this fixed.  I hope.
