Paramount Plus-how to restart an episode on Roku

I just signed up for paramont plus and have watched some episodes on my tv. I want to rewatch them on my tv but I can't seem to do that. There doesn't seem to be a rewatch option and when I click Watch Credits the episode is over so it starts me on the next episode so I can't even rewind all the way. I know I must be doing somethign wrong.. please help

    I figured out a work around.  If you have the APP on your phone (add it if not) you can go to the show and start the episode you want to rewatch.  Then go back (make sure you restart it if not closed) to Paramount Plus on your TV and it is in your Continue Watching list. Then just rewind back to the beginning and Poof!  There you go!!

    Same issue is driving me crazy. My kids want to watch the same episodes over and over and I have to try like 10 times to hit the rewind button in the milliseconds you have after the episode loads and before it ends. None of the solutions posted here work. (Disabling auto play just kicks you back to the episode list at the end of the episode. Hitting the back button kicks you back to the episode list with no prompt to restart the episode.) It seems insane that there is no simple way to start an episode from the beginning.

        Searching around the internet, I see people complaining about this with Paramount+ in a web browser and in Paramount’s phone apps, too.  Seems like their UI guys need a poke so let them know!

      Yeah, same problem here except i haven't been able to get it to rewind even once.  This is really annoying me. What a joke. They need to fix this.

      I just had same thing happen over and over then I realized that I was selecting the series from "continue watching." From there, you'll always get the point where you last left off. Select the series from a list somewhere else, and you'll be able to start any episode you want

        It's actually not that it picks the episode, it is that it won't let you re-watch one that was previously watched, even if you DO select the specific episode.

    I just cancelled my paramount plus subscription and signed up through my Amazon prime account, so it will use Amazon's interface for watching and includes the ability to rewatch an episode.

      I’m about to do this too. This should be the highest priority fix for them. It’s a bad look for a streaming service when folks can’t stream content.…

    I had the same problem. I turned off the automatic start of the next episode in settings. Once you click the show you want to rewatch, click the watch credits and try hitting play. It worked for me, so hopefully it will work for you too!

      Easy fix!  Just click on "watch credits" and you can now rewind to the beginning of the episode you want to rewatch.

      It would be nice if there was a rewatch option, but this will work for now.

        Select to "Watch credits" and then mash the heck out of the replay button (button with the circular rewind icon on it). I press the button about 6-10 times very quickly and the video goes back to the beginning.

    When you're watching the episode, press the back button don't press rewind. The BACK button is on the top left of remote.  This takes you all the way out of the episode which offers you the option to resume or restart.  It's poor design for sure. But it's there.

      Unfortunately that didn’t work for me. Had to add a new user just to watch the first episode of a season. Only does it on the first episode. Doesn’t matter watch show you’re watching. Can’t rewatch the first episode.

      Once episode has been completely watched, no option to continue or watch from beginning.

        Well. It worked for me. So for me it was truth. Sorry it didn’t for you and I hope you find your resolution soon.

    What worked for me wast to try and restart the episode and before anything is loaded spam the instant replay button. Button looks like a circular arrow and different from the regular replay button.

      I put the suggestion in to paramount + for a restart button and they forwarded the request to the developers. Hoping and praying they listen and add one.

      Omg this actually worked! Thank you so much..... it rewinded JUST enough to let me press "watch credits" and finish rewinding from there.... seriously, thank you,  I've been trying to restart an episode for an hour...

        Yes it is a joke and I sent a request to them to add a restart button and they forwarded it to developers. We will see what happens. You are most welcome

    Use your cell phone to sign into paramount+ and click the episode and it will restart on your phone and tv.

        Thanks! I restarted it on my computer phone, exited out of the app and reopened it. Now I can rewatch it!

      This worked for me as well.

      Download Paramount Plus app to phone. Sign in and click the episode you want to watch. It will then be available on your Roku. This must be a Paramount Plus issue. I opened a support case with them and so far all they ask for are my Roku info and streaming capability.

        Yeah, Paramount was useless for me too.  They just want me to answer 10 million questions like it's MY fault it is happening.  I even sent them this thread and they sent me the same exact e-mail again because they couldn't bother to look.

    I'm not in front of my Roku now, but I thought when you selected an episode in Paramount+, it gave you options like: Resume and Play From Beginning.  (Those may not be the exact words.)

      That option is only there if the episode you're trying rewatch hasn't been completely finished.

      Not options once the show has been watched completely. With autoplay set to off the episode remains on the screen.

    The only thing that works reliably for me:

    1) enable auto play in the app

    2) run the previous episode until completion (you can fast forward but stop near beginning of credits

    3) select play next episode

    4) disable auto play option if that is your  preference

    this does not work for me if I do not have auto play selected

      This will not work with the first episode of the series. Episode 1. 
      Episode one of any series. Sort of have to time it right with the rewind button. A real pain.

      The “going back to the previous episode of what episode you actually want to rewatch and hitting watch next episode” is the ONLY thing that worked for me. Thank you.

    I have the same issue. I just re-signed back up after about a year away... meaning I haven't watched any episodes in that long.  I cannot get it to play even the Pilot episode.  I have to go to my phone app to get it to restart there which means I have to waste my time doing that. Watching TWO commercials there and then TWO MORE again when I go back to my Roku.  I'm so annoyed.  Customer service just keeps asking the same exact questions.
