Welcome to the Roku Community, FarmGirl24!
Thanks for reaching out. We'd be happy to share further information about this.
If you subscribed to Paramount Plus via Roku, you would most likely have to open it inside The Roku Channel. In most cases, only certain shows are available on Paramount Plus via The Roku Channel.
If you want to stream certain shows that are available on the Paramount Plus app, you need to access it directly on the standalone app.
If you need further clarification regarding the available contents on Paramount Plus, you may directly reach out to the service provider. You may reach them here: Paramount Plus Support
Warm regards,
Carly
This really should be much clearer on the Roku home page. It raises the question of why Paramount + on the Roku channel even exists, when every Roku device can accommodate the Paramount + app. I signed up on the Roku channel by mistake, realized my error, canceled auto-renew, but can't delete it and subscribe via the app, presumably until the free trial period ends.
Very misleading, very annoying.

Welcome, sdl701!
We're grateful to have you here in the Roku Community.
We understand your input and appreciate you sharing this with us. If you create an account for a specific app directly on your Roku streaming device, you will be charged using your Roku account.
We have also partnered with independent apps, such as Paramount+, which can be accessible via The Roku Channel, making it more organized and simple for you.
If you want to directly subscribe to Paramount+, we suggest creating an account directly from their website.
Nevertheless, we appreciate you sharing your feedback with us and will surely pass this along to the team. Feel free to reach out if you need further clarification and assistance.
Best regards,

I have had Paramount + since its launch. I pay by the year. When searching for my favorite version of A Christmas Carol movie, it shows that it is available to watch in Paramount + with Roku—but it is not available on the regular Paramount + app. If I am paying for a subscription, shouldn’t I be able to watch all of the content? Why should I have to pay for yet another Paramount + app?

mockingjay, did you search within the Paramount+ app and not using the main Roku Search on the Home Screen? I don't have P+, so I can't try it, but even if I could there's far too many versions to try to see what shows up where.

I still cank’t find clarification about ther difference between the two channels. Are all the shows on Paramount Plus the same as on PParamoungt Plus on Roku?

Hi, ldb407
Thanks for reaching out!
The difference between subscribing to Paramount+ through Roku and the standalone app is how you access and manage your subscription. Roku integrates Paramount+ into The Roku Channel, while the app operates independently.
Subscriptions may also differ in access and features. If you subscribe via The Roku Channel, you cannot use those credentials for the standalone Paramount+ app.
I hope this clarifies your concern.
Thanks,
Roku Community Team.
