Not enough storage

Hello,

Ive had a TCL ROKU TV for about 3 yrs, and it recently started telling me I do not have enough storage space.  Im looking for advice as to how to resolve this issue.  I have deleted unused apps without any resolution.  I read the instructions on the website about plugging in micro sd card.  but my TV does not have a port for this.  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Taracan2-

No, save Factory reset as a last resort as you'll have to set the TV up all over again as though it were new right out of the box.

How do you get to the Settings you cite in your #1?   I can't find them on my TCL Roku TV at all.

    For me:

    • Start on TV's Home Screen
    • Click on Settings in left side menu
    • Go up one step to System and click on it
    • Click on Power
    • Click on System restart
    • Click on Restart

.. or just unplug the set's power for a few seconds then plug back in.

    Taracan2-

Those inadequate memory warnings are often a symptom of the Roku memory cache getting corrupted.  Deleting channel app after channel app does not make the warnings go away. Clearing the memory cache should cure the problem.

The easiest way to do this is to RESTART your Roku.  (For Roku TV users reading this: if you have "Fast TV start" enabled, turning the TV off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart, so use the methods below.)

Depending on your Roku model you'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power", or on models without a Power option, under "Settings > System".

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.

Thank you.  For clarity, in my system settings, I have 2 choices -

      1. reset audio / picture settings and
      2. factory reset.          I do not have any that indicate a system restart.  Are you advising to do a factory reset?  I do not have an external roku device to unplug/restart.
