No sound or microphone playing

So I when I left home this morning I left the Roku playing on live tv and when I returned it was on the Roku menu screen.  I pressed play to use Hulu.  Hulu came on but there was no sound.  I reset, reinstalled, changed the sound output.  Nothing.  I checked the sound on my tv and ran the sound test for the tv.  I heard sound but when I went back to Roku and heard nothing.  I tried to use the microphone and it was not able to hear me.  I contacted Roku for troubleshooting.  They did the whole reset and reinstall. I have 2 other Rokus and I switched the hdmi cable.  The other Rokus aren’t playing on this tv either.  It seems that whatever is going on the device is no longer connecting to sound on the tv and neither is the microphone.  But I can play music and hear sound from the tv.  When the Roku device is on, I can see picture, I can use the closed captions, I’m just not hearing the sound. Any suggestions?

    Greetings and welcome to the Roku Community.

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we're here to assist. Is this issue happening to a particular channel, such as Hulu, or does it happen generally throughout the Roku platform? Also, you've mentioned that other Roku also no longer works with the TV. Have you tried unplugging your TV for 5 - 10 minutes and then plugging it again to see if this restart resolves the issue? Furthermore, what prompt or message does appear when you use the voice feature of the remote?
