I've added an antenna to my TCL Roku tv. I've gone through steps of hiding streaming channels and renaming the Livetv icon to antennatv. It has found 14 channels but when I try to click on them I get a message saying no signal. Do I need a stronger antenna? I am not a techy person. This has been very challenging.
It’s possible, but it seems unlikely that a channel scan would find 14 channels, and yet every one of them (I assume you’ve tried every one!) would produce no signal when you go to watch it.
You mention renaming inputs so I would double-check that you renamed the right one. For example, I think the TV would let your rename HDMI-3 as antennatv, which would cause a “No signal” if nothing is connected there.

In addition to what our Community Guru provided above post, depending on where you live, you may be able to receive free "over-the-air" TV broadcasts from nearby TV stations using an HDTV antenna. The placement of the HDTV antenna can affect which TV stations you may be able to receive and the quality of the TV signal.
It is normal for the initial channel scan to take a while. You can visit Antenna Web to learn more about HDTV antennas and how to access "over-the-air" TV in your area.
