Posting this as the posts from yesterday don't reflect the update.
Bottom line, the app has been updated, 2 ways to get the update. After starting the app, press the "*" button on your controller and check for updates. The other option would be to uninstall and reinstall. Once you have the updated app, there will be a new feature on the sidebar Account Settings (looks like a person).
Hope this helps, NewsMax did a poor job of rolling this out, I'm sure there is a story behind it (that we will never hear).
Yes, Newsmax+ is working on Roku now. Update the app, the follow the screen to sign in. 👍
Worked for me - after 2 days, Newsmax+ finally got their head out of their fourth point of contact.

Yep...........just ran a software update on the ROKU stick and it picked up the Ver 5 app upgrade for Newsmax App. I had to enter my password from my Trial Subscription and then the live version of Newsmax is now working for me on ROKU.
Confirming Version 5 update is available for the NewsMax app.
Select the NewsMax app button on the Roku apps screen and
push the asterisk button on the remote to access the menu
showing check for updates. Update the app and then open
the app to see a prompt for your login credentials used to
subscribe. After entering the login info, the NewsMax
button default behavior will open NewsMax Plus.
