  Yep! Roku says it’s a Netflix problem, Netflix says it’s a Roku problem! Total garbage situation that neither of them wants to help, but they’re both happy to continue taking our money

Been monitoring this issue for like 6 months now, seeing as I'm having the same problem as everyone else here. I gave up expecting a fix a while ago, what I am watching with fascination is this Roku Community representative who keeps responding to each person one by one asking them if they took out the cartridge and blew on it or if their router is obstructed by a table. Roku Person Paid To Help Customers, what's the magic number of people with the same exact issue happening the same exact way where you stop asking them individually if they have contacted Netflix because maybe it's them? Literally 50+ people are describing their Roku TV freezing — AT EXACTLY 24%!!! — and you're telling each customer basically drive over to Netflix and stand in the lobby hoping to bump into someone who can explain the issue.
Roku Person: I'm not going to track down all the product numbers, I'm not going to send you photos of my TV screen. See every post over these 3 pages? That's the problem I have. Big group of us with Roku TVs that can't get past 24% on Netflix. The 10-15 minute chunks you are using to respond to each one of US like WE are morons, how about use it to dig in to how it's possible that a tech company can't manufacture a television in the year 2025 that is capable of loading a television show.

  Don't think this is specifically a Roku issue. I have had this happen on devices other than Roku, such as my Sony Blu-ray player, which does not use the Roku OS. It is possible it is an issue with Netflix's app on Roku, but I think it is a Netflix issue in general. Roku doesn't control tech issues with 3rd party apps they do not own. Should they work with Netflix to get it fixed, yes, but that isn't entirely on Roku.

Did any of the solutions work? I am having the same exact issue, stuck at 24% and I’ve done every suggestion I can find on here. I’ve rebooted TV, changed network, cleared cache, deleted Netflix, unplugged the TV, reinstalled the app, etc. nothing seems to get me past 24% and I’m frustrated enough that I’m about to just cancel my Netflix subscription

    My new 65” tcl Roku tv has the same issue of stuck at 24%.
    I tried all the options above and none of them worked.
    Netflix works on phone, iPad, and iMac but does not work on tcl Roku tv.
    **bleep**ing ridiculous this is an issue that has not been resolved

When reinstalling Netflix, did you restart** your Roku to clear its memory cache after uninstalling but BEFORE reinstalling the channel? Without the restart you may not get a clean reinstall.
Depending on your Roku model number you'll find the "System restart" option under either "Settings > System > Power" or under "Settings > System". If you don't have sufficient control to use the menus, or if it is just more convenient, you can also restart by pulling the power plug for a short while, then plugging it back in.
**On a Roku TV with "Fast TV Start" enabled, turning the TV off/on only puts you in/out of a low power standby state, it does NOT give you a complete restart. Use the methods above.

I am also having the same issue. it's been going on for months on my newer 65 inch Roku TV. No other app is giving me the same issue. All other Roku's in the house work just fine.

    None of what was suggested worked. How is this still a problem. At this point o would be better off tossing out all these Roku tvs of mine and just getting something else. Kind of ridiculous to have the same problem with zero solutions for years

  Okay what just worked for me was I noticed that when you open Netflix it already has the preview loaded for what you were currently watching. So I went on Netflix on my phone and started playing the episode I wanted to watch on the tv there, just so that when I open Netflix on my tv it show where I was at on “Continue watching.” I pressed on it on continue watching and voila it worked, no more 24%

    The only work around for us has been to START a movie on our phone and then select CONTINUE on the Roku TV.
    This problem has been well documented but is still unresolved.

Hello,

It seems like this has been an issue for a long time. @Roku you need to fix this or I want a full refund. Its been months and neither Roku or Netflix are willing to fix this issue where shows will not load, they get stuck loading at 20% or 24%. And yes for the 1000th time I've reset everything I can reset, occasionally it fixes the issue, but then it gets stuck again. We shouldn't have to deal with this bs, get your integration teams working together. This is your whole business model.

  Same thing here.
  No problem running Netflix on any other device. Just the Roku TV. With system reset, reinstall, ONT reset, WiFi router reset.
  So - Roku, or TCL, or Netflix - one of you, please take the lead on this and fix the problem.

    Hi everyone!
    Netflix has pushed a fix, but getting to your system may take some time to arrive at your player. You can try to get the updated channel earlier by checking for an update under Home > Settings > System > System update > Check now.
    After checking for an update, go back to the Netflix app and try to stream. We're hoping this is resolved for most people, but it could take a day or two for the update to propagate through the system, and we're still verifying some checks on our end to make sure you're up and streaming.

Similar issue with you tube and tried what you have dropping 6-7 Apps no improvement. I did pull the Roku unit out of the Tv after dropping the Aps maybe I should power it down also

    Of course after you remove Netflix and reboot and it does not fix the problem you will find all of your other roku devices on three bedroom TV's have dumped Netflix as well. They will all need the app reloaded and reauthorized. Been there. Done that
