It sounds like the IP address has been blacklisted for some reason or another.
Try logging out of the app and logging back in and see if that helps.
It may be possible that there is a local licensing dispute in your area as well, I would check that.
You could also try refreshing your modem's IP by unplugging the modem for a couple minutes or asking your provider to refresh to a new IP.
Sometimes IP's get blacklisted from a previous user and it takes a while for it to fall off the numerous blacklists out there.

this error happened back in 2023 and Roku took seven months to fix it. It’s ridiculous that I cannot watch my local baseball or basketball games on the app when I’m paying for it on my cable channel. Roku needs to fix this!

I can’t believe two years later I’m back here again with the same ridiculous error. Roku, you need to fix this quicker than seven months like last time. I am unable to play local live content on my Roku device. Yes it’s updated. Yes I have tried deleting the app and restarting the app. This is the same error code that was happening back in 2023! I can watch other live content, but not my athletics or King’s games. This is ridiculous. You need to fix this. I’m going to include as much information as I can below.

I don’t understand why my first post was marked as spam. I’m trying to get help. This issue happened in 2023 and took seven weeks to be resolved. Please don’t take as long this time!

I tried opening up my own tickets for this issue and now they’re marking my post as spam. Ridiculous when I’m just trying to get help. This is the same issue from 2023 and they clearly need to fix their version of the NBC Sports app on the Roku.

Trying to post a new thread. This issue was happening in 2023 and is happening again. I cannot watch any local sports streaming live on my NBC Sports app. Roku fixed it before and I’m hoping they will fix it again now! This is ridiculous. It’s happening again.

Amyw717 Try going into the NBC app on your Roku, finding the way to log/sign out. Then try signing out log/sign back in again to re-authenticate using your tv provider credentials.
If it also possible that your local NBC station is having a dispute with your provider as well or the local affiliate is having a technical issue.
One additional possibility is that your IP address has been blacklisted, which can cause issues. I would suggest unplugging your modem and router in an attempt to get a refreshed IP and/or contact your internet provider to see if they can refresh your IP.

None of that is the issue. I’m able to watch my live stream local sports on my cable channel on my TiVo, NBC Sports cable channel on my Astound broadband subscription so there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to watch it on the Roku. As stated before this exact issue happened back in 2023 and it took Roku seven weeks to fix it.
I have already logged out logged back in re-authenticated deleted the app and added it back. None of that is working. I included a link to the previous chain back in 2023 where they admitted there was an issue and it took seven weeks to fix. It’s the same exact error happening again.
