MLB.tv "Network Error" constantly, suddenly

As of the last two days, both my Roku devices are throwing "Network error, please check connection and try again" in the MLB.tv app. Happens every few minutes. My Roku TV is hard-wired to the router and my Roku 4k basic box is on WiFi. Both are having the problem. No other devices or channels seem to be having any connection issues.

I've reset the Rokus, router, fiber jack, everything. All software is up to date. Still happening. It's infuriating. I'm stuck home really sick and MLB is the only thing keeping me from having a complete mental breakdown, and now it's not working. I need it fixed and fast and I have no idea what else to do.

    Hi offrhode92
Welcome to the Roku Community and we're sorry if it caused any difficulties.

Have you tried removing the affected channel MLB.tv and then re-install again? If not, we suggest starting there. In some cases, removing the affected channel and then re-installing it may help. Restart your device before re-adding the channel back in to ensure the process is successful. We recommend doing this through the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If there is no Power submenu, proceed to the next step.) > System restart.

For detailed instructions, refer to this Support link for more information: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support.

Let us know if there's any difference after.

    Warm Regards,
    Lianna

I had the same problem a couple of nights ago on my main livingroom tv with Streaming Stick 4K+.  Jumped through all the hoops I knew (delete/restart/reinstall), restart router and Roku, unplug Roku for a couple of minutes and let it restart.  Logged out of MLB app and back in.  Made no difference, MLB kept buffering and quitting with stated network errors.   Tried watching couple other games with same results.  No problem with other channel apps.  Concluded problem was at MLB server end.  Gave up for the evening.

Watched game last night, no problem.

I have had this problem all season long. Have deleted channel, rebooted router, rebooted Roku, re-set network connection, etc. over and over again and I still get "problem communicating" when trying to open the app, but after a few retries it opens, then "network error" any time I try to watch a complete game - retry 5 times, and on the 5th time it has an "OK" button instead of "retry" and returns me to the list of games.  My internet is 3x as fast as it was in previous seasons when MLB.tv worked fine. Roku is a relatively new model. All the other streaming channels including ones showing live sports work just fine. What is the problem with the MLB.tv channel?
