(Major Bug/design oversight) It is Impossible to toggle CC/closed captions on the Android TV app.
Hi I am reporting a bug/asking if there is a solution to the major design flaw with the Android TV app in that there is no way to toggle closed captions on. This is because those of us using the app are using it usually without an actual Roku device, so for example I am using an Nvidia shield which lacks an options button, therefore I cannot access the Roku options and have no way to turn CC on.
This would be an extremely simple thing to fix if the devs simply added a way to force CC on in the Android tv apps settings...but the devs completely forgot or just didn't think to include this options. And so the only thing you can change in settings is the closed captions style and font and opacity....but...they completely forgot TO ACTUALLY INCLUDE A FRIGGIN OPTION TO TURN THEM ON OR OFF. And so those of us using something other than a Roku remote have this massive plethora of CC options available to us but no way to actually make use of them because the devs forgot...the on/off switch...you know...the most important option.
Any plans to fix this?
