Live Baseball, can’t pause or replay

I am trying to stream a live baseball game on Roku TV through my Amazon fire stick. I created an account because the website TOLD me I could pause and replay a program if I create an account. Watching the game, there is NO option to pause or save the game despite being signed in. The screen just turns purple when I press select or the play button. Do I have to sign up for some other subscription to allow pause/replay? What am I missing? Thanks!

    What you are missing is you are watching through a Firestick so your program controls must be the ones for the Firestick, not the Roku.   The Roku will display whatever the Firestick sends it, but if the Firestick stops sending ...
