Yes, but this solves a problem I don't have.. It is the fact that when live tv launches it goes straight to 'tv guide' rather than an actual tv channel, preferably the channel of my choice, that I want to resolve. Thks

Thanks for keeping us posted, kwwells51!
Did this setup work before? If so, have you seen a "Startup" option on the Settings on your TV or within the live TV guide?

no, Emmanuel, I don't use apps - I turn my Sharp tv on, select live tv (antenna icon) and it goes to channel guide

Thanks for the update, kwwells51!
Have you tried doing this? Navigate to Settings > System > Power > Power On > then check the Live TV option. Then, try turning off your Roku TV and turning it back on to see if the Live TV channel will auto-launch.
Let us know if that works!

Emmanuel, I don't know if you are awaiting a reply to your post 11 days ago re settings>system etc but this is still trying to solve a problem I don't have - live tv does launch but ONLY to tv guide which, as other people have noted, is irritating. Launching to a preferred channel would be wonderful but if not at least make it so I can launch live tv to the channel I was last watching, as previously. Thank you.

We'd like to help out with the issue you're having with the Live TV channels.
Can you share if this is on Roku Live TV channels or on a different app Live TV channels?
Please keep us posted!

Until a week ago, when I started up live tv, it defaulted to the channel I was watching when I had previously closed this feature. Now it defaults to the channel guide, which is irritating.
It seems this has been discussed before several times, e.g., " Guide immediately appearing on screen since update" but I am not sure if ROKU ever found a solution.
If I can't opt for a particular channel on startup, can I please go back to situation where it defaults to previous channel watched? Thank you.

Update on my earlier reply, Emmanuel. Have set 'settings' to 'live tv' option and indeed, when I turn tv on, it goes straight to live tv and to channel I had previously been watching. BUT if I go to live tv through home button, e.g., after using a streaming app, it still goes to tv guide which is not desirable. Hope this helps you find a solution.
