well it is 02/16/2024 and the kicking you back to the home screen is still an issue( for me) and I have tried every suggestion I have rad and NOTHING. SICK OF THIS BS.

- How are you powering your Roku device?
- How far is your device from your network router?
- Have you tried restarting your network router?
- Do you have cellular data, so we can try connecting your device to your hotspot?
- Is the issue happening on all content or channels, or is this isolated to one content or channel? (Specify)
- What is the software version of your Roku device? (Check on Settings > System > About.)
In the meantime, please try powering your Roku device directly from the wall outlet and not at the back of the TV. You can also try restarting your network router and connecting your Roku device to a mobile hotspot, for there are instances where this is happening depending on how you power your device or the connection of your Roku device to the network.

Eunice, you obviously have not read the comments form DOZENS of uses in this thread! We have tried all those things. Further, many of us have stated that we have older Roku devices that work perfectly on our TVs. You must be a robot that spews out a standard reply when users share a problem. I have given up on Roku completely.

Is this happening on all channels and contents, or is it isolated? (Specify) What Roku device are you using right now? Please be aware that the relevant Roku team is currently in the process of investigating, correcting, and finding you the best resolution possible. If you want your device to be included in the process, we highly suggest providing us with the following details below since you're currently experiencing the same playback issues with The Roku Channel app:
- Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and current OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
- Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)
In the meantime, we suggest highlighting the channel tile and pressing the star (*) button on your remote to update the app.
We'll be looking forward to your response as we are more than eager to help you access it and get back on streaming.

Answering your questions, as I am having the same issues, just this past week. More and more frequently being kicked off apps to Roku home screen, after couple minutes into viewing. Started once per episode, and now within minutes of starting to view. Have tested on all my current apps.
How are you powering your Roku device? Direct plug into a power bar. Not into TV
How far is your device from your network router? 10 feet
Have you tried restarting your network router? Yes
Do you have cellular data, so we can try connecting your device to your hotspot? Yes, have date. Have not tried that yet
Is the issue happening on all content or channels, or is this isolated to one content or channel? (Specify). Amazon prime, tubi, crave
What is the software version of your Roku device? (Check on Settings > System > About.). Model 9102CA - Roku streambar. Software version 12.5.5 build 4174-95
