Is My Roku 3 Due For Replacement?

I have a Roku 3. It still works, but it has cut out, briefly, a few times. I think it may be time to replace it. What are the typical points of failure on the Roku 3?

 

I am considering a Roku Ultra. If I get an Ultra, will I notice much difference in performance?

    We understand that your Roku 3 device is having cut-outs and we'd like to help you out with this. 

    Have you tried changing an HDMI cable to see if that makes any difference? If not, we would recommend doing so and observing if the issue will be resolved. 

    If the problem continues and you wish to upgrade to a newer Roku device, the Roku Ultra would be an excellent option.

    I got a refurbished 2022 version of the Ultra (4802) direct from Roku for half the retail price.  It looks and works like a brand new one.
