IPTV Smarters Pro - How do I add

How do I add IPTV Smarters Pro to Roku? Is there a app that I’m not seeing or something I’m doing wrong? I went on Roku website to locate the channel or app and wasn’t able to find it.

  • Goodbye Roku!

    Hello Amazon FireTV!

Just an FYI if you want to be able to use IPTV streaming services, invest in an Amazon FireTV stick, I've seen them new as low as $14.99.

Save yourself the hassle of searching for hours on ways to sideload Roku with any IPTV streaming service, it is flat out a waste of time. If you are lucky enough to sneak one by on a sideload, it will be quickly disabled and your ability to sideload at all will be revoked.

Roku made a definite mistake and underestimated the importance of their Private Channels feature.

I for example am getting rid of ALL the many Roku devices I had on different TV's and have sworn off the company. I made one last ditch effort today to see if I could save the devices from storage by sideloading any IPTV streaming service and after wasting 1-2 hours trying, I am throwing in the towel      SO SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. I used to love Roku products and recommended them to all of my friends and family but removing such a beloved feature on all of their devices, I made the switch to Amazon (blegh) FireTV and haven't looked back. That said, I am by no means an Amazon fan and may switch further to just a generic Android device for TVs, that way I can install TiviMate Premium. If you have an IPTV streaming service plan, I'd highly recommend you do the same!

Roku cut the private channel feature out of pure greed. They couldn't profit from it, so why allow it to continue?

I'm proof why. You will continue to lose customers to your top competitors over this gaffe, I guarantee it.

Adios, have fun on your closed system Roku's!

Soon everyone started to notice their ridiculous policy and started buying other brands, then they released everything with this moralistic and baseless policy.

You can't.  Given that most, if not all, IPTV providers are merely pirates they've pretty much been banned from the Roku platform.  If you come across a site that tells you how to sideload it, don't.  You'll just have it automatically removed and the ability to sideload will be forever blocked.

IPTV is legal. If Apple TV can provide this app I then why not Roku. I just think Roku isn’t as big of a platform like apple

Some are - most are not.

Roku is not very supportive of IPTV player Channels/apps because of its potential for abuse by some.  Especially those Channels/apps that are solely login gateways for various IPTV services.

Other than using an IPTV player on a laptop/computer/mobile device and either casting to Roku device or using HDMI cable, users that primarily use these IPTV services for a good deal of content viewing will find that an alternative streaming platform will probably be their best option and experience.

As a general rule, if a Channel/app has the potential to grant access to unlicensed/unauthorized content, going to be very difficult to find and use on the Roku platform.

I'm guessing roku doesn't want the exposure and end up in some sort of legal battle, hurting marketability of the roku product?  To those that use the reply: "prevent" "piracy" are being less than forthright on what the issue really is.  Casting to the roku is allowed, the difference legally shifts the responsibility off roku?

IBO Player Pro is available in the Roku store and works great.

Unfortunately Smarters Player Pro is unstable in my Roku tv even when I did everything to install it and make it work

The IBOplayer in the Roku store is only for good for 7 days! What are you supposed to do after that?

IBOplayer has a lifetime purchase license.  Bought it about a year ago, player works well enough.  the issue i have with them, is the license is tied to the mac address, which is unique to each device ie cant or won't allow transfer of the license to another device.... kinda tricky/sly of them, knowing you may never use the tv for a "lifetime"

Can't be done.  Roku doesn't support channels/apps that allow for piracy.

Even when Smarters Pro is a pain in As* to install it, isn't available in the Roku store, install it is a large process that I don't recommend. you must try "IBO Player Pro". This app gives you 7 days to try it then you have to pay $11 (for life price for one device) but it worth because is  compatible  with Roku tv and Roku devices.

If you insist that Smarter Player is your best option let me know, but I can tell you that after install it in my Roku tv, my tv started to glitch so I keep it for only one week and preferred to use IBO Pro, so I uninstalled the Smarters Pro.

Search for "iptv" and over 20 IPTV players with the same free 7 day trial period are in the results. And they all seem to be rebranded clones of each other. You can use one after another for free with a quick switch every 7 days for what I reckon can be at least 3 or 4 months.
