Increased ad breaks including in cold opens
Recently, I noticed that ad breaks increased. There are now 8 different breaks of 2 to 3 minutes each, in my case, Outer Limits, and Poltergeist, The Legacy. Must be every episode now is like this. The worst part is the first break of more than 2 minutes, comes only 2 or 3 minutes into the cold open before the theme song even starts. No network or cable TV station ever does something that ridiculous for ANY episode they ever aired. At least Hulu minimizes their breaks to 90 seconds, and are logical breaks. I’m sure this has been done by some computer parameter, rather than thoughtfulness by a real person.
Now, I’m also pretty sure a whole episode takes longer than an hour. And I know previously it did wait before it hit the cold open of a show, so something was done by management to make this happen. Not a fan, and may have to revisit whether I want to waste that much time anymore.
