How do you watch Apple TV if you don't currently have an Apple device?

Downloaded the Apple TV app on the Roku Express 4K+, now trying to set up our Apple TV account on the Roku. It wants us to verify our account on our Apple device. I don't currently have an Apple device. I had an Apple iPhone years ago but that's long gone. There seems to be no way around use your Apple device. How do you watch Apple TV on Roku 4k+?

    As far as I know, you don't need an Apple DEVICE, but you do need to be able to log into an Apple ACCOUNT. 

    Your old Apple account may still be active, even if you need a password reminder, or you can take out a new one.
