HELP Screen changes colors

Please help! We have a Roku smart TV. The picture looks normal when selecting an app, it also looks normal while surfing whichever app that your in (we’ve tried YouTube, Hulu, peacock, and the live tv). Once the show starts the picture loses all brightness and it’s only shadow/ red, blue, and black. But you can see the figures moving they just aren’t the right color.
sound is fine, no issues powering on or off.

  • Funny thing is I had the TV unplugged since I posted in this forum. Last night we plugged it back in and it worked just fine.
other than unplugging it for a while, I don’t have any other advice.

  • Mine just did this, too. My kid was watching a movie not even 2 hours ago with zero issue on Amazon and then I just went there, everything looks fine, even the little ad countdown Amazon has when showing ads before a Prime movie but the video itself is black, red, and blue and words an almost pixelated white. Shut it off and on and it's not helping. Did it with YouTube videos, too. Thought maybe it was an Amazon thing... nope. It's my TV. I have an RCL Roku TV. Never had heard of RCL but it seemed to get good reviews... have only had it 4 months. Last update check was minutes ago, last update was in December when I got it. Guess I'll unplug it and try that, very frustrating for such a new TV.

Same situation just started happening on my TCL Roku TV. Did you ever get it fixed on your TV? If so, how?
