HBO subscription thru Xfinity

I have HBO/MAX subscription thru my Xfinity service. 

I suddenly find that if I want to Access HBO via my ROKU I have to subscribe  thru ROKU, and can no longer use my Xfinity subscription.  Is that Correct?

    It is important to note that the availability of channels and the requirements for accessing them can vary depending on the service provider and the device being used. If you have an HBO subscription through your Xfinity service, you should be able to access HBO content on your Roku using your Xfinity or HBO login credentials. 

    However, if you encounter an error or issues upon logging in, we recommend checking with your Xfinity service provider for more information on their available channels and their compatibility with Roku.

    Are you attempting to access HBO Max through The Roku Channel, or through the HBO's own HBO Max channel app?  You should be able to log into the HBO Max app using your Xfinity credentials.

    I have HBO Max via my cell phone plan. I can access it with no issue on both my Roku and Android devices. Like makaiguy mentioned, you have to use the dedicated HBO Max channel, and not try to access it through The Roku Channel.
