HBO Max Keeps starting at same episode next time I start series

I have the same issue, if i can recall it started around the time hbo went back to hbo/max. Apparently with so many others having the same issue at least i know its not just my roku devices or roku tvs. I would hope someone can figure it out, very frustrating that the issue is still ongoing even with all the replies.
