Global app Not working and keeps crashing

My Global TV app stopped working all of a sudden.  I see others had this problem but i cant' seem to find where the solution to fix this is and i can't seem to respond to any other messages.   How do i get this fixed?  i can download the app, but when i try to stream something it crashes and goes back to the main page.    Ive done everything, resetting the box, resetting my internet, factory resets the works nothing at all works.  Please help this is so annoying!

  • Thanks for the update, Smccall97!

Is this the only app that's having playback issues? If that's the case, it might be a good idea to hit up the Global TV app support for help. It could be a problem with the app, and the channel provider should be able to help you troubleshoot this.

    Thanks again,

    Hey, Smccall97.

Thanks for reaching out! Let's try to resolve this

Here's a quick fix you can try and see if it works.

    1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
    2. Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
    3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.

Still, crashing? Here are more troubleshooting tips!

      • No solution that worked.  Global blames roku.  Roku says it's a global issue.

Thanks for keeping us posted, Smccall97!

If the issue persists on one channel after attempting the troubleshooting steps and videos from other channels play fine, contact the channel provider's customer support team to report the problem and get help. The channel developers themselves maintain channels on Roku. In this case, an issue within that specific channel likely needs to be addressed with an update from them.
