Freevee and Tubi playback issue

    Hey everyone!

    We are aware of the current issue on the Tubi app that is kicking back to the home screen, and we believe it has now been resolved. If you still experience the same problem, please let us know.

Amazon has always owned Freevee to my knowledge, and they have likely decided the cost to maintain it as a separate service probably wasn't worth the expense. If they reduced the amount of content, that is a decision they made, and Roku can do nothing about that.

Tubi is owned by Fox, not exactly the same situation. Since I don't have either app installed, I can't say what is happening with the apps themselves. But my guess is Fox doesn't want to continue offering a free service. They have owned Tubi since 2020, so they have the statistics to determine if the ad revenue is enough to justify the cost to provide it.
