- What Roku model device are you using?
- How are you powering your Roku device?
- Is the Roku device in an enclosed area? Is there open air around the Roku device?
In the meantime, please check this out for troubleshooting help on what to do if the red light is on or you see a "Your device is overheating" message.

My roku streaming stick overheats often. I've come to just ignore the warnings. The sound gets out of sync with the picture. It's on the free roku 4 inch extension dongle.
Model 3800x, s/n YF00C4561829, device id CT305C561829
It's over one year old. Do I need to replace it with the express 4k+? Will that model not overheat?
