Direct TV Quality of Picture

I just signed up for Direct TV streaming. I opted to install the Direct TV box on one smart LG TV, bought a ROKU for the other LG Smart TV (identical TVs). The quality of the picture through the ROKU is horrible. The Direct TV box is a perfect picture. Both TVs are set up similarly. Any ideas why? 

Also, is there a way to use my LG remove within the ROKU app? Having no numbers is a big negative.
