Crunchyroll app authentication error

Can't use the Crunchyroll app on my Roku express+. I continually get the "Crunchyroll Application Error " message. Have tried all general corrective actions with no success. The error states that the app was unable to authenticate your device and can't continue. 

What is to be done to correct this issue?
