Continue Watching List Removed from ESPN+

Several days ago the "Continue Watching" list stopped showing up on the ESPN+ app.  We have contacted ESPN support and according to them it's a Roku issue.   This list still shows up on the ESPN+ phone app.  We have tried a system reset on the Roku and logging out/in on ESPN/Disney account and neither have solved the problem.

  • We appreciate the reply, voicedude

Got it. As of the moment, our team is still working on the issue.

In the meantime, we would recommend reaching out to ESPN+ support and letting them know about your concern to speed up the investigation since features like this are directly managed by the channel providers.

    Thanks,
    Kash

Not only is my continue watching list gone but the games on Power Play on demand are only there 2 days. They used to be up for 3 cays because I could watch the games that were blacked out in my area. I think it's a Disney problem. Disney, Roku and ESPN need to get together to fix this problem that the customer are dealing with.

      Hi, hbkat

      Welcome to the Roku Community.

To ensure that we understand your concern, you have a concern regarding the continue-watching list and on-demand content of Disney+ with ESPN. Please provide the requested information above this thread so our team can investigate further.

In the meantime, you can reach out to the channel provider that provides the Power Play on-demand content since channel providers on Roku directly maintain their own app and content. Once acknowledged by their support team, they can provide a potential workaround or may update their app to resolve the issue.

      Please keep us posted.

      Best wishes,
      Kash

Mine started over 3 weeks ago. After over an hour and a half on line chat with ESPN+ rep, they redirected me to ROKU saying it was an apparent build problem on their end because their app is up to date. Before calling ROKU, I did the standard unplug device and router, waited 5 minutes, replugged, checked updates on the ESPN+ app, deleted the app and re-installed it. All to no avail. After nearly an hour on the phone with the ROKU rep, and going through all the above steps again, still no success. The rep advised they would forward it to “The Team”, and they would look into it. They also said someone would contact me. Still waiting for that call. That was 3 weeks ago. Saw the function appear the other day for half a day, then, “poof”, gone again. I have to go to my computer to delete all the games from my list. Hopefully the next update will fix this annoying problem?

Thanks for posting this. I was wondering what happened. I thought ESPN had removed it intentionally for some reason with their November 5th update of the Roku app. I had to search for the one I was watching, which was a little annoying, but at least it left off where I was at.

I'm having the same issue. I contacted ESPN who investigated and said there were no changes to the app and had me check to see if it was still available on a web browser, which it is. They referred me to Roku Support. I was told there that they are working on it and it should be restored in the next update to the app.

Maybe they just tell us how to roll back the last update which apparently broke the feature.
